Brandon Aubrey has been with the Dallas Cowboys since 2023. He’s a three-time Pro Bowler, a one-time member of the First-team All-Pro, and a two-time member of the Second-team All-Pro. Many consider him the best kicker in football.

But due to his recent poor play, Cowboys fans are worried about his future. Safe to say that he was not part of the equation when the team reportedly said that they were not done improving their roster in 2026.

After all, he’s extremely good at what he does – until now.

The Dallas Cowboys fell to the New York Giants in Week 1. While Brandon Aubrey wasn’t the problem in the loss, he did miss an extra point in the second half of the game. But 50 yards used to be automatic for the 31-year-old. Now, it’s a coin toss.

Last season, he missed six field goals and one extra point. Many have noticed that he had some shaky misses.

Aubrey missed six field goals last season and one extra point. Cowboys fans felt that their star kicker was shaky and probably not his usual self.

“Do you guys remember when Dan Bailey was they most accurate kicker in NFL history and then just randomly one day started missing every kick,” a Cowboys fan posted on X.

“It’s happening to Brandon Aubrey isn’t it.”

While the Cowboys do have plenty of talent offensively, Brandon Aubrey’s slow demise has them worrying.

“felt it towards the end of last year it’s always us man,” one fan said.

“it started to happen a bit last year………..” another fan noticed.

“As a giants fan, I was surprised to see him be so inaccurate. Even the makes were shaky. What happened to him since last year?” a Giants fan asked.

“We saw it towards the end of last season and here it is week 1 now…” another fan commented.

“It started late last year, he was shaky in the last 4 or 5 games,” a fan said.

Many NFL players, not just kickers, experience a steep decline in their play. The Cowboys are hoping that Aubrey can shake off the rust and play well in 2026.
