The Philadelphia Eagles-A.J. Brown partnership could end after four seasons. The veteran wide receiver starred in controversy during the 2025 campaign. His cryptic social media posts raised eyebrows around the league, and many think he played his finaal game with the Eagles.

He appears to be done with the team, as multiple teams reportedly keep tabs on his situation. Saquon Barkley’s dropping a bombshell on Brown’s preferred team only added to the rumors.

It seems that the Eagles will eventually part ways with the former Tennessee Titans star. General manager Howie Roseman said they always want to have great players, but didn’t close the door on a potential Brown trade.

Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reported on Friday that Roseman is creating momentum and building a strong market for Brown. The more teams that join the race in a potential move, the better for the executive. McLane added that the Eagles want a big return for their WR1.

“Roseman’s tactics are renowned. He’ll set the cost much higher than prevailing wisdom says it should be,” McLane wrote. “One NFL executive said he heard the Eagles were seeking a return that included a first- and second-round draft pick. Whether accurate or not, the price tag is already being floated within league circles.”

Brown played 15 games in 2025, recording 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. The Eagles couldn’t defend their Super Bowl title and lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the wild-card round. They will try to bounce back in 2026, but Brown might not be there to help them.
