United States President Donald Trump isn’t a fan of what the NFL has been doing lately.
Trump made his feelings clear about the league’s decision to select Bad Bunny as its Super Bowl halftime show performer last season, publicly criticizing the choice.
He also isn’t fond of the idea of moving games to paid streaming platforms.
The league has been making certain games exclusive to services such as Netflix, Peacock and Prime Video. It’s resulted in fans needing to spend way more money than usual to watch games throughout the season.
Donald Trump Suggests The NFL Is Making Too Much Money

Trump lashed out at the league during an interview on ‘Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson’ while hinting that the government could step in.
“They’re making a lot of money,” he said. “They could make a little bit less. You have people that live for Sunday, and then all of a sudden, they’re gonna have to pay $1,000 a game. It’s crazy. So, I’m not happy about it.”
The POTUS also warned that the NFL might not have a sport anymore if it keeps exploiting viewers.
Of course, fans aren’t paying $1,000 per game, but watching games throughout any given season could cost north of said figure due to the various partnerships.
The Department of Justice has reportedly begun probing this. It will be interesting to learn the findings.
