“Everybody’s Paying”: Michael Irvin Makes Bold Defense for Jed York After $140 Prostitution Arrest

Michael Irvin did not come to parse the charging document. He came to tell the internet to drop Jed York. During a recent N3on’s stream, the Hall of Famer walked through the Ohio sting like it was a bar argument.
“He got divorced 5-6 months ago so I’m like, man, come on. Is that really a crime? Let that man go. Leave it alone,” the Pro Football Hall of Famer said.
Then the line that traveled.
“Everybody’s paying for it. You take her out to eat, you’re paying for it.”
York, 46, was arrested at 9:35 a.m. on August 23 in East Palestine, Ohio. Police say he answered an undercover ad, used the name Joe, and arranged to pay $140 for sex at Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community. He showed up in a rental with cash and phones. He later pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and possession of criminal tools. The fine was $1,150. The NFL still has the personal conduct file open.
Irvin kept going.
“Why we gotta embarrass this man for 140 dollars?”
He answered the billionaire question before the chat could.
“People think, you’re a billionaire, why didn’t you go to high end places? The high end places get you in trouble all the time.”

Jed York Already Had Shannon Sharpe in the Same Corner
Irvin is not the first ex-player to shrug. Shannon Sharpe said York still has needs and asked why a billionaire would not want to “wet his whistle.” Both men treated the sting as a human errand that went public. The police report treated it as three messages and a trailer-park meet.
Those texts are why the shrug is landing badly. Detectives say York messaged the ad three times over a day, agreed to $160, and drove to a fake lot number. Bodycam then showed the stop outside the mobile homes.
York filed for divorce from Danielle Belluomini months earlier. Irvin used that as context. The court still listed them as married when the cuffs went on. The 49ers have said nothing beyond “legal matter, resolved.”
Roger Goodell has said the league will review it.
Jed York Wants the Story Over But Irvin Made It Louder
The 49ers open a season with this clip in the same week. Irvin made the case on stream that embarrassment is the real sentence. York already did a night in jail and a no-contest plea. The internet still has the bodycam. Irvin still has a microphone.
“Leave it alone” only works if people stop watching. However, they have not. Jed York paid $140 in the story Irvin told. He paid a lot more in public once the Hall of Famer tried to explain it. The league file is still open. The stream clip is already the next exhibit.
