Brief stints on several offseason rosters and practice squads defined Damoun Patterson’s career in the NFL. He has become known for more off the field than anything he did in his career.

Initially, Patterson entered the league in 2018 as an undrafted free agent from Youngstown State, signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his time in Pittsburgh, he flashed potential. However, he was ultimately waived before the regular season.

Shortly after his release, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed him to their practice squad later that same year. Subsequently, he joined the New England Patriots, where he spent parts of 2018 and 2019 on their practice squad.

Following his time in New England, he had a brief stint with the Atlanta Falcons. Ultimately, his NFL journey came to a close without any regular-season stats.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Damoun Patterson faces multiple severe felony charges following an August encounter with Florida authorities.

A high-risk traffic stop on Silver Beach Avenue ended with the former receiver in handcuffs. Patterson was pulled from a white Kia SUV around 1 a.m. on August 22. Consequently, Daytona Beach officers listed four felony counts after the stop.

His booking sheet includes armed burglary of a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and criminal mischief.

Damoun Patterson was arrested in Daytona Beach, Florida, in connection with multiple severe felony offenses.

Authorities in Orlando identified Patterson as a prime suspect in an early-morning home invasion. Consequently, local law enforcement issued a “be-on-the-lookout” alert for both him and a stolen white Kia SUV linked to the crime.

Daytona Beach police tracked down the vehicle using advanced law enforcement technology. During the subsequent high-risk traffic stop, officers ordered Patterson out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Furthermore, investigators discovered a large, machete-style knife sitting directly on the front passenger seat.

While being detained, Damoun Patterson’s behavior took an unusual turn when he began casually discussing his past football career.

He is currently being held without bond as the judicial process unfolds.
