Harrison Butker may not make it out of 2026 on the Chiefs roster. This has been a nightmare year for him, and it only gets worse.

On Sunday, Butker was one of two on field goals, but hit all of his extra points. However, the Chiefs could’ve used that field goal badly. They would’ve only been down one point in the fourth quarter, but hi smissed field goal made them go for a touchdown.

Unfortunately, the Broncos would keep them out of the end zone, and the Chiefs would drop their second game of the year.

Now he appears to see the writing on the wall.

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker missed a critical 54-yard field goal wide right late in the fourth quarter.

Having missed a field goal in all but one game this year, we suspect Andy Reid will throw in the towel on Butker after today’s performance. Footage from the sidelines seemingly shows that Butker knows his time is coming to an end.

The Kansas City Chiefs signed former Baltimore Ravens All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker to their practice squad days ago. Tucker joined the practice squad after working out alongside kickers Harrison Mevis and Ben Sauls. However, head coach Andy Reid kept Butker as the active kicker for the Week 8 matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Once again, Butker would fail them at the wrong time, and it would cost them a victory.

Tucker last played in the NFL during the 2024 season with the Baltimore Ravens. In early 2025, The Banner reported that 16 massage therapists accused Tucker of sexual misconduct. The kicking game is so bad that the Chiefs are willing to take the backlash.
