Daniel Jones is done for the day and done for the season following a brutal non-contact injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Jones, who resurrected his career with the Indianapolis Colts in 2025, will sadly not be allowed to complete the term with them.

The quarterback went down after dropping back on a pass attempt nearing the end of the first quarter. He fell right after releasing the ball, without contact, and was attended to by trainers.

ESPN insider Adam Schefter has since reported that Jones is out with an Achilles injury.

“Colts say QB Daniel Jones is out due to an Achilles injury,” Schefter wrote.

Jones was already dealing with a fractured fibula coming into the game, but opted to continue playing, a decision he’s now set to rue.

The 28-year-old was having a remarkable season, throwing for 3,041 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions on 67.9 percent passing. He added another 160 rushing yards and five touchdowns from the ground.

His exit comes as a massive blow for the Colts. The team had entered Sunday’s game with an 8-4 record, tipped as Super Bowl contenders.

Their odds will take a hit.
