Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys had nothing to celebrate on Sunday after the Cowboys suffered a major collapse that cost them their Week 8 game. Fresh off a Monday night win against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys hosted the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium.
Dallas had a 24-10 advantage over Arizona in the fourth quarter. The Cards responded and won the quarter, 20-13, to force overtime. A 42-yard field goal from Chad Ryland sealed the deal for the Cards, while Jones was visibly upset in his suit.

With the Cowboys sitting at 3-5, many wondered if this meant the end of Brian Schottenheimer’s tenure in Dallas. Jones acknowledged that the result wasn’t the best, but made it clear that he wouldn’t make coaching changes at this point in the season.
“I’m not proud of it, but I made a change with Wade Phillips there in the middle of the season,” Jones said, via The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “I don’t see that here at all.”
After a busy offseason, the Cowboys looked ready to compete. They haven’t suffered the injuries the Eagles or Giants suffered, but Dallas can’t find the way to win consistently. Arizona even replaced its quarterback mid-game, and the Cowboys had no answer for it.
