A massive social media storm erupted today involving Johnny Manziel. The controversial athlete faced heavy backlash after launching a vulgar online tirade.
The former Browns QB unleashed a profane social media attack on Cleveland radio host Tony Rizzo after an old clip resurfaced. The message contained offensive language.
Johnny Manziel Launches Social Media Attack

ESPN Cleveland shared an old podcast clip where Johnny Manziel spoke negatively about the Browns. He expressed lasting hatred toward the team, as host Tony Rizzo responded on air.
“Bro, what did . . . anyone do for you, except root for you to win?” Rizzo said.
“And when it went south, OK, that’s how it goes, as [with] Baker [Mayfield]. But, but — did someone hurt him? Is he a jilted lover? Is there some — did I miss — was there an incident where somebody attacked him? . . . Why the hate? Why in the hate for the team that drafted you?”
Rizzo questioned the ongoing animosity, so Manziel fired back quickly. He used a harsh slur toward Rizzo. The deeply offensive word shocked media members due to its highly explicit nature.
Manziel Deletes Controversial Post Quickly

Johnny Manziel chose to delete the message soon after. However, the damage was already done.
Many people wondered what sparked this sudden emotional outburst from the retired quarterback. The intense exchange perfectly illustrated the remaining tension between the player and his original team.
This recent incident highlights a pattern of ongoing immaturity from the former star. The Cleveland Browns originally drafted Johnny Manziel back during the first round in 2014. However, severe off-field distractions and a total lack of film study derailed his career. No other professional franchise ever offered him a second playing opportunity in the league.
He tried to go to Canada, but it didn’t work out. Manziel’s time in the CFL was short-lived and turbulent. Across stints with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Alouettes, he struggled to find a consistent footing. He tossed for 1,290 passing yards, 5 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions before the league permanently banned him.
Manziel played two seasons in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns. Across 15 career games, he completed 147 of 258 passes for 1,675 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. He also rushed for 259 yards and a touchdown.
