The Indianapolis Colts face serious questions about their future. Jonathan Taylor could leave the team amid a 2-4 start to the season. After losing Daniel Jones to a season-ending injury during their best moment in the 2025 season, the Colts have not recovered from that.

They made multiple win-now moves in the offseason to give the former New York Giants quarterback the best shot to contend, but nothing has gone their way so far. Amid their underwhelming start, speculation about their star running back began to surface.

In six games, Taylor has posted 122 carries for 492 yards and seven touchdowns. He continues to play at an elite level and could help a contender if the Colts decide to cash in on his current value.

The AFC South team fired general manager Chris Ballard and is reportedly looking to replace him with Peyton Manning. That move could kickstart a new era in Indianapolis.

On Monday, NFL Rumors on X said that “several teams” called the Colts about Taylor.

Additionally, the account mentioned the Cincinnati Bengals and the Seattle Seahawks as the two top teams to watch in a potential trade.

The Seahawks placed Jadarian Price on injured reserve after he picked up an injury against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 and then aggravated it ahead of the Los Angeles Chargers game in Week 4. Adding Taylor to the backfield could give the Seahawks the spark that they lost without Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker III.

As for the Bengals, they have Chase Brown and Samaje Perine as their top guys. However, their production doesn’t match what Taylor brings to the table. Adding Taylor to an offense with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins would put the Bengals on another level.

As for not it’s just a rumor and if the Colts contrinue to struggle it woldnt surprise if Taylor is dealt.

Marissa Myers of TWSN mentioned the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots as other potential options for Taylor.

As of right now, it’s just a rumor, but if the Colts continue to struggle, it woudn’t surprise us if he’s dealt.
