Matthew Stafford’s Wife Kelly Reveals Shocking Diagnosis That Could Change Their Marriage

Before the 2026 season, Matthew Stafford and the Rams were heavily favored to run the table. Their start to the season has been less than ideal.
The Rams’ offense has been inconsistent through six games, and Stafford is a big reason why. In Sunday’s 18-16 upset loss to the Cardinals, Stafford was not his usual self.
He finished the game 25-for-33 for 222 yards and two touchdowns, but that doesn’t tell the full story. There were tons of short throws and questionable decision-making.
Now, his wife, Kelly Stafford, thinks she knows why he is so off. It might be due to her terrible sleeping patterns.
Kelly Stafford Reveals Insomnia Affecting Marriage To Matthew Stafford

The wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford gave followers a candid glimpse into her sleepless nights. She revealed that she’s been struggling with insomnia.
In an Instagram Story, the 37-year-old posted a near-black photograph with a timestamp reading 3:04 a.m. “Insomnia sucks,” she wrote.
Furthermore, Kelly shared a second update that offered a welcome change of mood. While looking through old pictures, she came across a picture of Matthew Stafford holding their youngest daughter, Tyler.
“But what doesn’t suck is what you find when you have insomnia,” Kelly wrote over the picture.
It was in 2025 when she was interviewed by Forbes and talked about the importance of getting quality sleep.
“Good sleep has helped our marriage,” she said, while also noting that sleep deprivation has led to arguments and irritability within her marriage.
Maybe Matthew can get a few wins in a row to help her sleep better. Right now, things are hectic on the field.
