Los Angeles Chargers star quarterback Justin Herbert may end up missing time after suffering a hand injury in Sunday’s 31-14 home win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Justin Herbert briefly left the game in the first quarter after suffering a left hand injury. Trey Lance came on in relief, but Herbert eventually received clearance to return and willed the Bolts to a pivotal victory that inches them closer to a playoff spot.
But it’s not quite all sunshine and rainbows for the Chargers this evening.
After the game, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said Herbert suffered a bone fracture in his left hand and will need surgery on Monday, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. It’s unclear if Herbert will miss any time.

Herbert completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 151 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The Chargers improved to 8-4 on the year and are a game clear of the eighth-seeded Houston Texans (7-5) for a wild-card berth.
The Chargers will get an extended off day before hosting the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on ‘Monday Night Football’ in Week 14.
