The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Houston Texans 20-6 on Sunday afternoon at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Quarterback Joe Burrow overcame a week of intense back tightness to direct a highly efficient road victory.

It looks like he will be getting even more questions after what he admitted on the field after the game.

Joe Burrow Thanked Houston for Popping His Rib Back In

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow shared a humorous exchange on a hot mic after Sunday’s physical game against Houston. The Texans’ aggressive defensive front sacked the star passer five times and hit him ten more times.

Following the final whistle, Burrow approached Texans star defensive end Will Anderson Jr. on the field. He surprised Anderson with a smile and an incredibly unsettling message to the dominant pass rusher.

Burrow casually told Anderson, “You guys popped my rib back into place. I appreciate that.”

Joe Burrow completed 20 of 31 pass attempts for 207 yards and two critical touchdowns. Furthermore, he leaned heavily on superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who hauled in both scores. Chase finished the contest with seven receptions for 75 receiving yards. Running back Chase Brown also provided excellent balance by grinding out 80 rushing yards on 20 carries.

Meanwhile, the revamped Cincinnati defense completely stifled quarterback C.J. Stroud and a highly explosive Houston offense. They sacked Stroud four times and limited the Texans to a measly 60 total rushing yards.

Consequently, the Texans failed to score a single touchdown and slumped to a disappointing 0-2 start.
