Michael Strahan Rips Into NFL Head Coach For His Embarrassing Behavior [VIDEO]

Once again, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is under heavy fire. It wasn’t just that his team lost at home to a depleted San Francisco 49ers team or that his confidence in OC Kevin Patullo may have cost his team the season.

If that wasn’t bad enough, he also made the rounds for a now-viral sideline argument with A.J. Brown. Sirianni was caught on camera yelling at his star wide receiver, and the spat sparked plenty of criticism.

Notably, some of that came from NFL legend Michael Strahan. Following the loss, the defensive star-turned analyst didn’t hold back on Sirianni and his treatment of his star:

“I don’t understand why Sirianni’s running down there and yelling at one of his star players, A.J. Brown,” Strahan said. “You know, A.J. Brown wanted to get involved in the game, I’m sure. They took two big shots with him, maybe he said, ‘Give me a shot,’ and the coach said, ‘You had your chance, you better catch the ball next time.’ But I don’t understand why you do that in the middle of a game like this, because I don’t think that brings out the best in your players. I think it takes away from your players. I think it takes away from the attitude of the team and the energy of the team.”

This isn’t the first time that Sirianni has done something like this. And while he’s got an impressive résumé, he doesn’t have the best reputation in the league because of stuff like that.

Nick Sirianni Clears The Air On A.J. Brown Altercation

Sirianni was visibly upset after the loss, as one would expect. Then again, he still wanted to clear the air on the situation.

Following the defeat, Sirianni acknowledged that it was just a thing of the heat of the moment. He reassured that everything is well between both parties, and there’s nothing to be worried about:

“I was trying to get him off the field because we were about to punt, and that was really it. I love A.J. I think he knows how I feel about him. I have a special relationship with him,” Sirianni said, per Yahoo Sports. “We’ve probably went through every emotion you can possibly have together. We’ve laughed together, cried together, yelled at each other. We’re both emotional. I was trying to get him off the field. That happens in this game. But I love him. We’ve yelled at each other before. It’s nothing new. We’re both passionate and want to win. That’s all it was.”

Even so, A.J. Brown has been a talking point for all the wrong reasons recently. He’s gone back and forth with the team and doesn’t seem too comfortable with his situation and the state of the offense.

Moving a player with such a big contract won’t be easy. But regardless of whether they fire Nick Sirianni or not, GM Howie Roseman might have to explore all his options regarding Brown.
