New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel is back in the spotlight. After a magical 2025 season, the Patriots will enter the 2026 campaign with renewed expectations.
However, things went south at the end of March, when somebody photographed Vrabel and NFL insider Dianna Russini holding hands and hugging at a romantic resort in Sedona, Arizona. More pictures from prior years surfaced, which led Vrabel to skip Day 3 of April’s draft to go to counseling with his wife.
He reportedly spent more time away from the team to take care of his personal life. It seems that it worked, as Vrabel showered his wife with nothing but good words on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Vrabel held a press conference in Foxborough before the Patriots’ organized team activities. A reporter asked him about the balance between family and football, which helped Vrabel express love to his wife.
“Really good,” replied Vrabel to the question. “I appreciate my family. It’s great. I love [his wife] Jen, I love the boys. I love my personal friends.
“Then, this spring is focused on the coaching staff, the players — more importantly than the coaching staff — but seeing the coaches in the second year, how smooth the conversations are… these guys, they go out and find ways to make it better.”

Russini resigned from his job, while some think Vrabel or the Patriots will call it a day before Week 1. As of right now, he looks confident that his job is safe.
