New York Giants Fans Are Worried About Jaxson Dart
This article was originally published on Total Pro Sports.

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart had a strong rookie season and gave fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the future. The former Ole Miss standout threw for 2,272 yards, added 487 rushing yards, and accounted for 24 total touchdowns.
Now, however, this offseason, some Giants fans have been talking more about Dart’s actions out of the field than his performance on it.
The discussion started when Dart introduced President Donald Trump at a campaign event at Rockland Community College. The appearance got mixed reactions from fans and became a trending topic on social media. Giants teammate Abdul Carter was also reportedly unhappy with the move.
Dart later explained that his decision was based on respect for the office of the president and was not meant as a political statement.
“This was a unique opportunity. You know, being asked and given the opportunity to introduce the President of the United States, you know, my thinking was pretty simple,” Dart told reporters.
He pointed to his family’s military background and said he has always respected the position regardless of party affiliation.
“I also understand in this world, politics can be a sensitive matter, a sensitive topic,” Dart said. “I also understand that I am the quarterback of the New York Giants, and that involves a lot of responsibility.”
Dart added, “Most importantly, I can honestly say that I love every single one of my brothers, my teammates on this team regardless of politics, regardless of religious beliefs, regardless of anything that may be different between us. Like, I love them and they know exactly what kind of person that I am, who comes into the facility every day.”
Fans React To Another Offseason Headline

Less than a month after the Trump appearance, Dart is now back again with another round of discussion. Fans recently spotted the Giants quarterback at the US men’s national team’s World Cup opener, where he attended the match with Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua.
Nacua is currently facing a lawsuit that accuses him of making an antisemitic remark and biting a woman’s shoulder. The allegations are now resulting in criticism and have led some Giants fans to question Dart’s choice of company.

Several fans voiced their concerns on social media.
“Dart is acting like he has already won a Super Bowl championship,” one fan wrote.

“Way too early in his career to be having this vibe. Feels like a ‘I made it’ vibe for a player that hasn’t accomplished anything yet,” another fan commented.

“Out of all the NFL players you could go with, you choose Puka? Not the greatest decision making this summer for Jaxson,” a third fan said.

Others questioned whether Dart has started to lose focus before the season begins.
For now, the criticism remains limited to the offseason. Dart still controls the narrative with his performance on the field. A strong opening game could quiet much of the noise surrounding him. A rough start, however, could bring even more scrutiny.
The Giants open the 2026 season against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 13. Many will watch closely to see whether Dart answers the questions with his play.
