New York Giants Tickets Plunge From $130 To $26 After Jaxson Dart's Injury

New York Giants fans suddenly have a much cheaper way to watch the team at MetLife Stadium.

Ticket prices for the Giants’ next home game against the Tennessee Titans have dropped sharply after quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a serious knee injury. The get-in price fell as low as $26 on TickPick after news of Dart’s surgery and expected rehab reached fans.

Before Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, the cheapest ticket for the Giants’ next home game cost around $130. Now, TickPick says those seats are going for just $26 to $42.

The steep drop comes as the Giants prepare to move forward without their starting quarterback for at least the regular season.

Jaxson Dart Injury Changes Giants’ Outlook

Giants coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Dart will go on injured reserve. He said the quarterback will miss the “regular season, at least.”

Harbaugh also left the door open for a possible playoff return. However, he said the Giants cannot know when Dart might return until he starts his recovery.

“There’s no way to know; it just depends on the recovery,” Harbaugh said. “You can’t pinpoint it exactly.”

Dart’s injury involves his MCL, PCL, and meniscus. Reports have pointed to the meniscus as the main concern.

A simple meniscus trim takes about four to eight weeks to heal. But if it’s a worse tear, he could be out for at least three months. We won’t know the exact timeline until he has the surgery and starts rehab.

In the meantime, the Giants are turning to Jameis Winston to take over at quarterback. Harbaugh also mentioned that they’ll be looking to bring in another QB, either through free agency or by making a trade.

The change has also hit ticket demand. Before the season, Giants tickets cost much more. TickPick listed the team’s average get-in price at $265, up 12% from last season.

The Week 1 matchup against the Cowboys had an average purchase price of $369 and a $246 get-in price. That game ranked as the Giants’ most expensive home opener in their 102-year history.

Now, Dart’s injury has changed the mood around the next home game.
