The New England Patriots defeated the Miami Dolphins 24–19 on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. They had to overcome a 13–3 halftime deficit to get it done.

Drake Maye led the Patriots’ second-half surge, throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for another. Despite playing without AJ Brown and TreVeyon Henderson, New England outscored Miami 21–6 after the break.

Just maybe if one Dolphins player had done his job correctly, it could’ve made a difference in the game. Because of his missed tackle, NFL fans are now crying foul.

Drake Maye was sacked 3 times during the New England Patriots’ 24-19 win over the Miami Dolphins. It should’ve been four times and likely included a fumble if not for one play.

In the second quarter, a Dolphins DB had Maye dead to rights as he came basically unblocked on his right side. Maye had no clue a defender was behind him. All the Dolphins player had to do was tackle him from behind. Instead, he completely whiffed on the tackle.

Consequently, Maye was able to complete a pass on the fourth-down play.

“This is the worst tackle attempt I’ve ever seen!!!” one person said.

“Larp Sack attempt in rainy Miami so New England drive can continue. #riggedNfl” a second person wrote.

“Drake Maye voodoo,” a third fan added.

“More and more people are calling out the NFL fakery,” one final fan commented.

The Dolphins dropped to 1-6 on the year while the Patriots improved to 5-3.
