The A.J. Brown saga appears to be done, for now. The Philadelphia Eagles star was one of the most popular names in trade rumors, with multiple teams, such as the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams, among others.
Brown’s last two seasons have been filled with controversy. He took issue with the Eagles’ run-heavy offense and his lack of targets. He sent cryptic messages on social media and reportedly didn’t see eye to eye with quarterback Jalen Hurts.
As the weeks went by, it seemed that Brown would leave the Eagles at any moment. The team made a final decision on his future after keeping communication with two suitors.
Philadelphia Eagles Won’t Trade A.J. Brown For Now

Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported on Friday that the Eagles engaged in serious conversations with the Patriots and the Rams, but decided to put a potential Brown trade on hold. Russini added when rumors could heat up again.
“After serious conversations with both the Rams and Patriots, the Eagles will not trade A.J. Brown at this time, according to multiple league sources. Both teams remain interested, but no move is imminent. If a trade were to happen, it would likely heat up closer to June 1,” the insider wrote.

The Eagles changed their asking price for Brown, but nothing has materialized yet. They could still part ways with the three-time Pro Bowler, but it won’t happen until a couple of months from now.
Brown played 15 games in 2025, catching 78 passes for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. Even in a down year, he managed to impact the game. The Patriots added Romeo Doubs, but that doesn’t rule out a potential Brown’s arrival.
