A shocking off-season accident at a high-profile celebrity party has placed NFL star Puka Nacua under the global spotlight.
The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver left a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys due to minor groin soreness. Head coach Sean McVay and the team are treating the issue as day-to-day. As a result, they are holding him out of subsequent practices purely as a precautionary measure.
Subsequent medical updates confirmed that the injury is considered minor and not a long-term threat.
Nacua is expected to sit out of practice for a few days to rest and rehabilitate. Because the Rams heavily protect their starters during the preseason, he is highly unlikely to participate in the upcoming exhibition games.
Puka Nacua Left Bleeding From Face After Incident

Nacua recently shared details about an unexpected off-field injury. It left him bleeding from the face during a high-profile gathering.
The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver recounted running into a clean glass door or window pane at a party hosted by Fanatics founder Michael Rubin. The mishap occurred while he searched for teammate Davante Adams and failed to notice the transparent barrier.
Podcast hosts who witnessed the aftermath described a commotion followed by visible blood on his face.

During an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, Puka Nacau admitted that the glass window pane ultimately won the brief contest. “Uh, the glass window pane won,” Nacua said.
He explained that he became distracted after spotting Snoop Dogg, then turned to locate Adams before colliding with the freshly cleaned surface. It wasn’t just him, as several other guests reportedly bumped into the same pane, yet none of them suffered bleeding injuries.
“They made me feel better when they said three other people ran into it,” Nacua said. “But nobody else ended up bleeding from it. So I don’t know if that made me feel much better or worse.”
His injury clearly wasn’t bad enough for him to miss any time, so it’s water under the bridge now.
During the 2025 NFL regular season, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua put up elite numbers. He recorded 129 receptions and finished second in the league with 1,715 receiving yards.
