Instead, Minter launched into a full rap performance of Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’. He moved through the verses with real confidence. Players crowded around him, cheering and recording the moment on their phones.

Minter Continues Building A New Identity In Baltimore

The moment offers a glimpse into how Minter connects with his roster. He took over the Ravens this offseason after Baltimore parted ways with longtime head coach John Harbaugh in January.

The move ended a run that stretched back to 2007, making Minter just the fourth head coach in franchise history.

Minter isn’t a stranger to the organization. He spent four seasons with the Ravens from 2017 through 2020, working his way up from defensive assistant to defensive backs coach.

He left to become Vanderbilt’s defensive coordinator in 2021, then took the same role at Michigan before helping the Wolverines win the 2023 College Football Playoff national championship.

The 43-year-old spent two seasons as the Los Angeles Chargers’ defensive coordinator before Baltimore brought him back as head coach.

Minter’s early results have matched the energy he showed at dinner. The Ravens opened their preseason with a 24-7 win over the Eagles, controlling the game from start to finish.
