Simone Biles Fires Back At Haters Who Were Questioning Why She Attended Taylor Swift’s Wedding

Olympic gymnastics star Simone Biles did not stay quiet after haters questioned why she attended Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding.
Kelce and Swift got married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. TMZ reported that about 1,000 guests attended the celebration.
“Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … attendees at the newlyweds’ star-studded celebration were invited to play games throughout the evening … earning raffle tickets for a chance to win an array of prizes,” the report says.
The outlet also said guests received luxury gifts and entered raffles for prizes, including Cartier watches, designer handbags and a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle with the license plate “JUST&T MRD.”
Biles attended the wedding with her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens. Soon after she shared photos from the event, one social media user asked, “When has Simone Biles and Taylor Swift even spoken to each other?”
Biles Shuts Down All With Direct Response
Biles answered the question with a short but pointed reply on Instagram.
“Remember this, I only show y’all what I want y’all to know,” she wrote.
The connection between Biles and Swift goes back several years. During the US Olympic Trials, Biles used one of Swift’s songs for a floor routine. The two have also publicly supported each other over the years.
After Biles and the “Final Five” won Olympic gold in Rio in 2016, Swift congratulated the team on social media.
Swift also showed her support during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. After Biles stepped away from several events to focus on her mental health, the Grammy-winning singer praised her resilience.
“I cried watching YOU,” Swift wrote. “I feel so lucky to have gotten to watch you all these years, but this week was a lesson in emotional intelligence and resilience. We all learned from you. Thank you.”
It is clear that Biles and Swift have a lot of respect for each other. Because of that, it was not surprising that the Olympic gymnastics star received an invitation to last week’s wedding.
