The New York Jets had another disappointing NFL season in 2025. The AFC East team had a busy offseason, hiring Aaron Glenn as head coach and bringing in Justin Fields as their starting quarterback.

Things went south quickly, as they went 0-7 to start the season. Fields showed promise, but he struggled to be consistent, even earning criticism from team owner Woody Johnson. The season is over, and the Jets will have the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming draft.

Fans and analyst have discussed who Jets should take with that selection, and it appears that a group has identified the best target for the “Gang Green.”

In the wake of the 56-22 loss against the Fernando Mendoza-led Indiana Hoosiers, Oregon Ducks’ Dante Moore’s draft stock may have taken a major blow. He went 24 of 39 for 285 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.

Fans flooded social media to link Moore with the Jets.

“I think Dante Moore will in fact declare and go to the Jets. I also think Dante Moore needs to stay in school and develop for one more year. Both can be true,” one fan said.

“Either Dante Moore played like total s**t because he really doesn’t want the Jets to draft him or he played like total s**t because he desperately wants to show the Jets he’d be perfect for them I still can’t decide,” another fan said.

“This was the game that decided the Number 1 pick. Now the Jets can ruin Dante Moore’s career,” another fan said.

“Dante Moore is gonna fit in perfectly on the Jets,” Barstool Sports wrote.

“If you blur your eyes a little, you can easily convince yourself that Dante Moore is already playing for the Jets,” Cousin Sal said.

The Jets have been known for either picking bad quarterbacks with high selections or failing to develop play callers at the highest level.
