Someone tried executing the Myles Garrett trade in ‘Madden NFL 26’, but the results didn’t go the way they did in reality.

You’d know by now that the Cleveland Browns traded Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, with Jared Verse going the other way. The Browns also got a 2027 first-round pick, as well as second and third-round picks for 2028 and 2029, respectively.

Monday’s trade marked one of the biggest defensive trades in NFL history – not even ‘Madden’ could pull it off.

One player gave it a go, only for the Browns to reject an offer of Verse plus two first-round picks.

“And that’s 2 1st Rams only sent 1,” someone pointed out.

“Browns fleeced you a non ball knower if you rly think Rams won,” someone else claimed.

“Browns won the trade, May be not in the short time, but they definitly did in the long term. Rams are scary on paper and Browns got a lot of capital for the future, at the same time they relife a ton of cap space, they are handling their franchise way better than they used to,” another user agreed.

“had to change the trade difficulty to very easy ☠️,” said a fourth.

According to ESPN, the Rams persisted to the point of repeatedly calling Cleveland with offers after being warned off the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.

The Browns eventually softened but told the Rams that they wouldn’t trade Garrett if Verse wasn’t part of the deal.

“The Rams initially were not interested in moving Verse, but eventually began to consider a package with him as long as the draft picks were adjusted appropriately, sources said,” ESPN reports.

Everyone expected the Philadelphia Eagles to trade A.J. Brown on June 1; no one saw the Garrett move coming.

The wide receiver was supposed to be the biggest story stemming from NFL affairs on Monday. But his exit has been overshadowed by one of the more significant trades of recent memory.
