Wan’Dale Robinson left Thursday’s joint practice early. Robert Saleh said the Tennessee Titans receiver is being evaluated for a concussion. The hit came from Bears safety Xavier Woods. Saleh did not soften the word.

He called it “cheap.”

Teammates had already reacted on the field. Robinson walked off. Doctors now decide if he enters the concussion protocol.

A protocol stay would cost several days. Week 1 is still far enough for a clearance. That is the only soft landing in this clip.

Wan’Dale Robinson Took the Shot That Lit the Period

Wan’Dale Robinson signed with Tennessee in March after four Giants seasons. He posted 92 catches for 1,014 yards last year. The Titans gave him a four-year deal with $38 million guaranteed. Brian Daboll followed him to Nashville as offensive coordinator.

Woods played for the Titans last season. Saleh’s staff cut him after the hire. That reunion hit Robinson in the middle of a practice period.

More fights broke out after that one. Woods “hit sticked” Robinson. Calvin Ridley and Alic Ayomanor tangled with Chicago’s defensive backs. Tyson Bagent sparked another scrap after a hit on an interception. Zavion Thomas tried to fight multiple Titans at once.

Joint practices keep turning into open brawls. This one had a concussion check attached.

Wan’Dale Robinson is 5-foot-8 and 185 pounds. He wins in the slot. He does not win smash-mouth collisions with a safety who used to share his locker room.

If the tests stick, Cam Ward loses a slot target this week. Ridley and rookie Carnell Tate would carry more of the load. Saleh still has time before the opener. He does not have extra bodies if the protocol drags.

Robinson left New York after becoming Jaxson Dart’s security blanket. Dart once called him “my guy.” Chicago is the other side of that NFC North heat.

Saleh’s presser made the hit official. The fights made it loud. Robinson’s next update is medical, not schematic. Meanwhile, Woods has not answered in public. Robinson has not posted. The only quote that matters tonight is one word from Saleh. Cheap.
