It does not look like the friendship between Troy Aikman and Joe Buck has been repaired.
Last week, Aikman and Buck got into a pre-game argument in the booth, driven by tension over their contrasting contract situations with ESPN. Buck reportedly agreed to an ESPN extension in September, while Aikman’s contract is scheduled to expire after Super Bowl LXI in February 2027.
Aikman addressed the report during an October 15 interview with Dallas radio station 96.7 The Ticket. He declined to discuss the details and said he expected to become a free agent after the season.
Now, one week later, it appears the two are still at odds.

The anger on his face was evident as he waited for his time to speak to the camera.

Buck reportedly agreed to a six-year contract extension worth $108 million in September. His new agreement gives ESPN greater clarity on its lead play-by-play role in upcoming seasons.
