Rashee Rice is trending again, but this time it isn’t because of something that actually happened.

A fake ‘Madden 27’ gameplay clip circulating on X has gone viral after claiming to show leaked footage of the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver in EA Sports’ upcoming game.

The edited video pokes fun at Rice’s well-documented legal troubles. It shows police officers chasing the wideout off the field and into the locker room, while he insists he’s done nothing.

Despite the post labeling it as leaked footage, the video is fan-made and not an official EA Sports clip.

That didn’t stop fans from piling into the comments with jokes.

One user said he was, “Pretty sure they will add a micro transactions to get you outta trouble #boycott_ea.”

Another pointed out that, “The NFL has the opportunity to make a Temple Run remake based on this.”

“There’s also an openworld driving mode if you pick James Pierce Jr.,” one fan added.

“Hey! He did his time!” said a fourth.

The viral reactions reference Rice’s legal issues stemming from a high-speed street racing crash in Dallas in 2024.

Rice later pleaded guilty to felony charges involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway. He received five years of deferred probation and a 30-day jail sentence as part of the agreement.

Earlier this year, Rice served a 30-day jail term after violating his probation by testing positive for THC. He was released in June and is expected to be ready for Chiefs training camp following offseason knee rehabilitation.

Rice also went viral after sprinting away from reporters upon leaving jail.

Although the Madden footage isn’t real, it has once again put Rice at the center of social media conversation.
