Dave Portnoy absolutely loves Tom Brady, but even he couldn’t get past something he recently admitted to.

Brady has revealed that he cloned his late dog, leaving fans, including Portnoy, stunned. The seven-time Super Bowl champion, who ranks as the greatest quarterback in NFL history, revealed his dog, Junie, is a clone of a late family pet.

The Fox broadcaster released that information through Colossal Biosciences, an American biotechnology and genetic engineering company that is working to de-extinct several animals.

He isn’t doing it just to do it, Brady is an investor in Colossal, so there is some monetary gain in his actions. His late dog, Lua, was cloned using blood collected prior to her death.

Dave Portnoy was not a fan of any of it.

The Barstool Sports founder took to X to tweet on Tuesday and wrote, “I’m a dog guy and a Brady guy. This is weird as f—.”

Brady has been diversifying his investment portfolio since his retirement.

Earlier this year, the 48-year-old began a new business venture in the robotics and massage industries. Aescape, a rapidly growing “lifestyle robotics company,” announced that Tom Brady has come aboard as their new Chief Innovation Officer.

Brady’s entertainment and marketing studio, Shadow Lion, has even secured an investment from Fox Corporation, with which they will collaborate to develop original series, films, event programming, and digital content that sit at the intersection of sports and culture.

Tom Brady is currently in the second season of a 10-year, $375 million broadcast deal with Fox Sports and is 11 months removed from being approved as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

In the meantime, Brady continues to get better with each passing game while in the booth.
