New York Giants returner Gunner Olszewski took a vicious hit against the New England Patriots in their ‘Monday Night Football’ clash that was so hard it broke off a part of his helmet.
Earlier in the first quarter, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart took a bone-crushing hit from Christian Elliss while running out of bounds. Thankfully, Dart got right back up and didn’t miss a play.
In the second quarter, Gunner Olszewski was also on the wrong end of a punishing hit to the head during a kick return. Olszewski fumbled the ball, and the Patriots recovered it at the Giants’ 27-yard line.

Per ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, the Giants later ruled Olszewski out for the remainder of the game. He had three returns for 54 yards before leaving the game.
The Giants went into the locker room trailing 30-7 at halftime. Among the miscues: Olszewki’s fumble, Younghoe Koo failing to make contact with the football on a 47-yard attempt and a 94-yard punt return touchdown allowed to Marcus Jones.
