Former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Claire Wolford just wants to bring joy to the world.

Unfortunately, social media can be quite cruel at times.

Wolford, who has impressed fans with her flexibility online, responded to the body-shaming she received, saying that years ago, the comments would have sent her “into a spiral.”

“I wanted to jump on here and address something,” Claire Wolford said in a TikTok video. “I’ve just seen a lot recently and have grown a lot myself.”

Last month, Wolford performed with the DCC squad, stepping in for 23-year-old Reece after she was injured.

This was the first time in two years she had performed. She retired from the team in 2023.

“It was a very quick thing, and honestly, I’m very proud of myself for doing that,” she added.

“There were a lot of negative body-shaming comments. I just really hope people realize … I spent years of my life body-shaming myself, exercising, and trying to fit a certain mold. I have healed from that and feel so much better where I’m at.”

Despite being retired, she has maintained a close relationship with her former coworkers as well as the new ones.

Wolford even posted a picture of herself and four other girls matching in their Yoga gear earlier this year.

Former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Claire Wolford is hitting back at body-shamers, and her girls on the team have her back.

Despite saying she has been healed from body shamers, she made it clear that comments can trigger anyone.

“But you never know who are triggering and there are girls who see that and maybe are not the same, maybe bigger than me, smaller than me, whatever, and it causes them to stumble.”

Her response comes from a video showing an up-close view of her body.

Several current Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders offered their support in the comment section.

“THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!!!! I love you sm Claire, you are one of the BEST to ever do it, and I look up to you more than you will ever know! You are INCREDIBLE queen, inside & out!!!💛,” one DCC cheerleader said.

“THIS!!!! So proud of you for speaking out about this, Claire!! Love you so so much 💙,” a second cheerleader added.

“You are amazing inside and out, Claire! We all look up to you! Love you always❤,” a third said to Clair Wolford.

Wolford is now an All-Star for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, a group of former Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders who are not officially part of the team but serve as fill-ins when needed and perform at pregame appearances.
