After losing to the Broncos, Bills fans called for the team to fire Sean McDermott and other members of the coaching staff.
McDermott was too upset about the refs to pay attention to what social media was saying about him. After watching the Buffalo Bills lose in overtime to Denver, he needed to get something off his chest about the refs.
During overtime, Brandin Cooks appeared to have caught a deep pass from Josh Allen. However, defensive back Ja’Quan McMillian battled him for the ball as they made their way down to the field. It would end up being an interception.
In his post-game press conference, Sean McDermott did not mince any words.
“It’s hard for me to understand why it was ruled the way it was ruled. … I’m saying it because I’m standing up for Buffalo, damn it. I’m standing up for us. That’s not how it should go down.”

The outcome already left Josh Allen in tears. In a thinned-out AFC field, the Bills had a chance to rise above the pack. They failed yet again. Josh Allen fell to 0-7 in overtime, per ESPN. Playoff losses tend to fall on the team’s head coach and coaching staff.
It will be interesting to see if McDermott can survive the offseason.
