A crafty football fan tricked his friends with a savvy move for his Super Bowl 60 watch party, and not a single one of them caught on.
The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots squared off in Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium. This was a rematch of their epic Super Bowl 49 clash 11 years earlier. The Seahawks cruised to a 29-13 victory to claim the franchise’s second Lombardi Trophy, with their Super Bowl parade set for Wednesday morning.
While 100 million people across the world watched the big game? Another fan decided to trick his friends at his own Super Bowl party.
In a video that has quickly gone viral, a group of friends can be seen watching Super Bowl 49 between the Tom Brady-led Pats and the Legion of Boom-led Seahawks. According to one of the friends? It took more than an hour to realize that they weren’t watching this year’s Super Bowl:
𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: This guy invited his closest friends over for a Super Bowl party and played the 2014 Super Bowl instead of the current one…
Somehow, not one person said a word or noticed.

Well, at least these folks were having so much fun socializing to the point where they didn’t notice their friend had duped them.
Seahawks & Patriots Will Meet In Super Bowl 60 Rematch Next Season

The Seahawks’ list of 2026 opponents was finalized after they clinched the NFC West division title in Week 18. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long for a rematch between the Seahawks and Patriots.
Thanks to the NFL’s “17th game” format, New England will travel to Seattle in 2026. The full schedule is usually released in May. As such, fans will have to wait a little while to learn when the rematch takes place.
This will mark the fourth straight year with a rematch of the previous season’s Super Bowl clash. The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2023 and 2025 rematches, with KC beating the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 campaign.
