The job of an NFL head coach is a tough one. And, as long as you’re in the position, the grind doesn’t stop.
Aaron Glenn wanted to become a head coach while he was a defensive coordinator with the Detroit Lions. He’s now completed his first season, having replaced Robert Saleh as the HC with the New York Jets.
By now, he must have found out exactly how hard it is when you’re the man responsible for the fate of a franchise.
Glenn didn’t have as long a campaign as other coaches, having failed to reach the playoffs in his first season. But that hardly means he’s as energetic as he’d probably like to be.
The 53-year-old is putting in the work at the NFL Scouting Combine, like his fellow NFL coaches. However, one camera caught him snoozing on the first day of on-field workouts.
Glenn should have been looking on during the defensive ends’ 40-yard dash, but couldn’t stay awake.
Texas Tech star David Bailey was about to run. You’d think that Glenn would have been locked in, given that Bailey is a projected top-five pick. But you’d be wrong.
Aaron Glenn Nods Off

The typically livewire head coach appeared to have nodded off when the camera panned to him before waking up as if something startled him.
Check him out in the video below:
Admittedly, not the best look, but not something he should be taking much stick over.
Meanwhile, the Jets are entering the 2026 NFL Draft with 11 picks after going 3-14 in 2025.
Barring additional trades involving picks, they’re set to be the second team on the board in April. Of note, the AFC East team agreed to a blockbuster player-for-player trade this Thursday.
They also possess the No. 16 pick, thanks to the Sauce Gardner trade.
If the Jets select Bailey, it probably won’t be because Glenn noticed anything he didn’t already know, because he probably didn’t learn anything about the player on Thursday.
