Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been named in a Florida robbery/kidnapping case, but the 22-year-old has not been charged with a crime.
The 22-year-old Arnold just completed his second season with the Lions. But as GM Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell prepare for a busy offseason, Arnold has been brought up in a legal matter.
According to Christian Romo of the Detroit Free Press, Terrion Arnold’s name was included in court files involving a robbery/kidnapping case in Hillsborough County, Florida.
Arnold hasn’t been charged with any crimes. According to prosecutors, three of his friends were arrested for allegedly participating in a robbery in Tampa, Florida, on Feb. 4. Arnold and his friends allegedly orchestrated the plans in retaliation after the NFL player’s home was robbed twice:
“Boakai Hilton Jr., Lyndell Hudson and Christion Williams. Hilton, 23, has been charged with three felony counts of kidnapping and three felony counts of robbery with a firearm with a deadly weapon, which could carry a life sentence.
Hilton has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
“Prosecutors allege that Hilton orchestrated the robbery of three men on behalf of Arnold, whose rental unit in Largo, Florida, was allegedly robbed twice before the alleged robbery in Tampa. Prosecutors say that though the original robberies were reported to authorities, Arnold and others “decided to take matters into their own hands.”
At the time Romo’s report was published, his agents hadn’t responded to the outlet’s request for comment.
More to come.
Terrion Arnold Had A Frustrating 2025 Season With Lions

Analysts widely regarded Arnold as the top cornerback prospect entering the 2024 NFL Draft. The Detroit Lions took him as the second cornerback (24th overall), two picks after the Philadelphia Eagles selected Quinyon Mitchell.
Terrion was a First-team All-American and First-team All-SEC selection in 2023. With Detroit coming off a run to the NFC Championship Game, they had hoped that Arnold could be one of the final pieces to reach the Super Bowl.
But Arnold’s career has been a disappointment thus far. He was a liability in coverage during his rookie year, then was limited to 8 games in 2025 due to injury. Thus far, Mitchell has had the much better career, having led the Eagles to a Super Bowl 59 championship.
Through his first two seasons, Arnold has one interception and 18 pass breakups. The Lions missed the playoffs with a 9-8 record in 2025 in a year completely derailed by injuries.
