Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was suspended six games to start the 2025 season following a hit-and-run. He might get suspended yet again after an ex-girlfriend accused him of domestic violence last month.

In the midst of dealing with these new allegations, Rice has taken up something else on social media. Rice promoted a play-to-earn app on his Instagram story last week. It had fans thinking he was broke. Not to mention, he also publicly announced he was dating Rubi Rose. She famously likes to date men with status and money.

On Monday, Rashee Rice was back on his Instagram story promoting that same app. He was urging his followers to get on the play-to-earn app. Even the caption he uses on his picture seems like he is trying to scam them into signing up for this app.

“The Chiefs need to move on from Rashee Rice. Actively scamming his followers on a daily basis. Someone needs to check in on him,” one post said on X.

“Dude a millionaire and still scamming people? 😭,” a second fan said of Rashee Rice.

“It amazes me how dumb most football players are. He probably truly believes he’s helping his followers. He’s as competent as a toddler outside of catching footballs,” a third person added.

“Rashee Rice out here pushing that “get paid to play games” app like it’s the real deal 😂 Fans calling it a scam and saying he’s broke AF. Chiefs might wanna rethink this one… 🤦‍♂️💀,” one final fan wrote.

In the meantime, it remains up in the air on what will happen to Rice over his domestic violence allegations. The initial accusations came via Instagram from ex-girlfriend Dacoda Jones, who is also the mother of their two children.

A civil complaint was filed in Dallas County District Court, where Jones is seeking over $1 million in damages. The lawsuit alleges that Rice “strangled” Jones at their shared home and he “continued to repeatedly assaulted [sic] Dacoda Jones over the course of their relationship through July 2025.”

The Chiefs and the NFL previously acknowledged the allegations against Rice.
