The Kansas City Chiefs have been busy this offseason, making moves to create room for new players. They released offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor to save $20 million in cap space a couple of days ago. At the same time, they traded All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams.
Hours before the legal tampering period begins, the Chiefs continue planning their moves. Improving their running game was mandatory coming into the offseason, and they have ambitious plans to return to the top of the league.
In recent weeks, they were linked with Travis Etienne Jr. of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tyler Allgeier of the Atlanta Falcons, and more. However, it seems that they have identified their preferred options.
Kansas City Chiefs To Make Serious Push For Kenneth Walker III

During an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” NFL insider Albert Breer reported that the Chiefs’ trading McDuffie would open the door for Kenneth Walker.
“This might open up the door for them to go after somebody like Kenneth Walker III next week,” Breer said.
Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt struggled to get going in 2025, failing to make a big impact on offense. Kansas City has multiple options this season, but adding Walker, fresh off a Super Bowl MVP season, would go a long way for Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and Co.
