The Chiefs needed to make a splash in free agency, and they did so with the signing of Kenneth Walker.

Less than an hour after Travis Kelce said he was coming back, the team went out and secured the Super Bowl MVP. It is a huge move. Less than an hour into the league’s legal tampering period, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero stated Walker has agreed to a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Seahawks opted against tagging Walker and let him test free agency. After the New York Jets tagged Breece Hall, plenty of teams turned their attention to Walker, including the Kansas City Chiefs.

With Walker heading to the Chiefs, it appears that Isiah Pacheco’s time in Kansas City has ended. The Kansas City Chiefs ranked 25th in the NFL in rushing this past season, averaging a mere 106.6 yards per game.

Kenneth Walker can certainly help with that. The Chiefs were in need of adding some star power to the run game, and they did so by getting the best running back on the market.

Walker finished the 2025 NFL regular season with 1,027 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns for the Seattle Seahawks.
