Two NFL Teams With Top 5 Draft Picks Are Reportedly Battling It Out For Top RB Prospect Jeremiyah Love

Jeremiyah Love is one of the best players in the 2026 NFL draft. Following a successful three-year career with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Love entered the draft and multiple teams have identified him as a potential target.
Two teams appear to lead the race to land him in April. The Tennessee Titans, who own the No. 4 pick, have praised the running.
“Any time you can get a running back like that, especially a three-down running back, that can play in the pass game as well and be able to take over a game,” Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi said.
Additionally, the New York Giants, with the No. 5 pick, could also make a swing for Love. They already have Cam Skattebo in the running back room, but the addition of Love would make it a terrifying unit.
“If the Giants were willing to pay a running back close to $12 million annually, why wouldn’t they draft one fifth overall? One with even greater physical gifts than Walker?” SNY reporter Connor Hughes wrote.
Jeremiyah Love Named 1 NFL Team He Would Like To Play With

While the Giants and Titans praised Jeremiah Love, the running back prospect named the team he would like to join: The Kansas City Chiefs. During the NFL combine, Love explained the connection he had with the franchise.
“Being able to join that system, it would mean a lot,” Love said. “The Chiefs in general–my running back coach, actually, coach Deland McCullough from my freshman and sophomore year in Notre Dame, he coached there, won a Super Bowl with them.
“So, it would be cool for me to go there and play for (them). I got a great coaching staff over there. I’d be blessed to go there.”

He won’t miss suitors in the draft. However, only one will have the chance to land him. The only team we know for sure is that he doesn’t want to play for the Cowboys.
