Doomed NFL Team Is Already Projected To Go 0-17 In 2026 — Favored To Lose Every Single Game

The Arizona Cardinals entered the 2026 season with very low expectations, and the betting odds show just how little confidence oddsmakers have in them.
After the NFL released the full schedule this week, Vegas sportsbooks made the Cardinals underdogs in all 17 games. No other team faces that situation this season. At the same time, the New York Jets were left without a primetime game for the first time since 1981.
Arizona’s schedule also looks extremely difficult early in the season. Oddsmakers favor each of the Cardinals’ first 11 opponents by at least seven points. The Los Angeles Chargers opened as 11.5-point favorites in Week 1. Teams like the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, and Kansas City Chiefs are also heavily favored against Arizona.
The difficult schedule got enough repercussions, with some fans already wondering if the Cardinals could go winless this season.
Fans Already Fear A Winless Season

Several fans on X reacted to the betting lines shortly after sportsbooks released them.

The concern comes after another difficult year for Arizona. Veteran QB Jacoby Brissett started games for the Cardinals last season, but the team struggled to stay competitive. The organization now hopes a new rookie class can change the franchise’s direction.
Arizona used the No. 3 overall pick on former Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. He arrived after a strong college career that included 2,882 rushing yards and 36 touchdowns on 433 carries. Team officials clearly believe he can become the centerpiece of the offense.
The Cardinals also selected former Miami quarterback Carson Beck with the 65th overall pick. Beck will compete for the starting job during training camp and preseason workouts.
Even with those additions, the Cardinals still face major questions. The NFC West remains one of the toughest divisions in football. The schedule also gives Arizona very little room to build confidence early in the year.
Still, every NFL season brings surprises. Young players often change expectations quickly. Arizona now hopes Love and Beck can give fans a reason to believe the season will not match the grim projections from Vegas.
