Bijan Robinson went to the Atlanta Falcons’ first practice, but he did not work out with the team.

The star running back stayed on the field without his helmet and watched from the sideline. While people were still asking about his contract, another story about him blew up the internet.

A new picture of Robinson went viral before the 2026 season. It showed his old media photo from 2023 next to a new one from 2026. Fans noticed his hair right away.

The side-by-side photo showed a huge change. Back in 2023, when Robinson was in his rookie season, he had a high haircut with long dreadlocks hanging down his back. In 2026, he showed up with a shaved head except for a single long dreadlock that stuck up like a ponytail.

Many fans could not stop talking about Robinson’s hairstyle after the Falcons shared the photos.

“Looks like he’s about to grant 3 wishes,” one fan wrote.

“Why did he decide to look like a unicorn?” another fan asked.

“He needs to stay away from Hollywood,” a third fan commented.

While fans discussed his new look, Robinson continued to wait for a possible contract extension.

The 24-year-old enters his fourth NFL season under contract with Atlanta. The Falcons picked up his fifth-year option in April, which keeps him under contract through the 2027 season. That option is valued at $11.32 million. Robinson currently counts about $6.9 million against the salary cap for the 2026 season.

Atlanta has already signed key offensive teammates Drake London and Kyle Pitts to new deals this offseason. Robinson remains the biggest offensive star still waiting for a long-term extension.

His production gives him a strong case. Robinson has gained 5,648 total yards over his first three NFL seasons. That number leads the whole league during those years and sits 408 yards past Derrick Henry.

The Falcons have made it clear they want Robinson to stay with the organization.

“We’ll figure it out,” Falcons president of football Matt Ryan told USA Today in June.

“Bijan, he’s a really special player,” Ryan said. “There’s no timetable for kind of hammering that out, but he’s a guy that we certainly want here to be a part of the organization for a long time.”

As training camp moves forward, Robinson’s contract talks remain a top story. For now, though, his hairstyle is catching eyes.
