Fans watched the edge rusher enter the blue medical tent while he carried an empty jug in his hand. Moments later, the star emerged back onto the field with the exact same jug partially filled.

James Pearce Jr. is Suspended For Eight Games
Falcons star James Pearce Jr. received an eight-game suspension for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. The discipline stems from a February 2026 domestic dispute in Florida involving his ex-girlfriend, Rickea Jackson.
Furthermore, the altercation led to felony charges against him. To resolve the legal issue, Pearce entered a pretrial intervention program. Therefore, his official suspension begins on August 30, 2026.
Pearce was arrested after a vehicular chase involving his ex-girlfriend. He allegedly pursued Jackson’s car in an SUV, intentionally rammed her vehicle, and subsequently fled from responding police officers.
Following a vehicle crash and a brief foot chase, he resisted officers before being taken into custody.
This suspension serves as a massive blow to the Falcons’ edge rushing depth, which is already thin following a season-ending ACL tear suffered by linebacker Jalon Walker.
