San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York was arrested in Ohio following an undercover police sting operation related to prostitution.

It all started with him using a fake name to send text messages to an advertisement on a prostitution website. Initially, his messages sent on Saturday did not get any replies. Next, he tried again on Sunday morning and agreed to pay $140 to meet a person at a mobile home park in East Palestine, Ohio.

Then, police officers from a local human trafficking task force waited for him at the location. When York arrived in a rental car with his cell phone and cash, officers took him into custody.

On Wednesday, body-cam footage from that moment was released.

Officer’s Shocking Comment After Seeing What Was in Jed York’s Wallet

Initially, undercover officers from the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force believed they were running a standard sting operation. However, the reality of the situation shifted dramatically when they pulled over Jed York in East Palestine, Ohio, and looked through his wallet.

As a result of searching his vehicle and personal items, an officer discovered a large sum of cash in $20 bills and exclaimed, “He’s got more cash in his wallet… He’s got sh-tloads of cash.”

Subsequently, the second officer replied with his thoughts. He said, He’s got all the money. Wow. It’s crazy the people do this,” reflecting total astonishment that a billionaire was sitting handcuffed in the back of a police cruiser at a local trailer park.

The full quote: “He’s got all the money. Wow. It’s crazy that people do this. They could do whatever they want. Like, they could do other things, they could go other ways. It’s wild.”

York Still Facing Punishment From The NFL

Following his arrest, authorities charged him with two misdemeanors: engaging in prostitution and possession of a criminal tool, which was his cell phone. Afterward, prosecutors changed the prostitution charge to a lesser misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

Jed York pleaded no contest to both disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools on Monday. A judge ordered him to pay over $1,100 in fines, gave him a two-day jail sentence with credit for time served,

Meanwhile, the NFL announced it will review the incident under its personal conduct policy. A fine and a lengthy suspension should follow soon.
