Police in Wisconsin received a disturbance complaint at a residence. Dispatch audio later revealed reports of yelling, items being thrown, and a possible assault inside. Subsequently, authorities investigated the scene while Jacobs left the location in a vehicle that was tracked by law enforcement.
Then, a few days later, Jacobs was officially taken into custody. He was booked into the Brown County Jail. Specifically, he faced five charges tied to domestic abuse. They included one felony count of strangulation and suffocation. That came alongside four misdemeanors (battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and intimidation of a victim).

The NFL began reviewing the incident under its personal conduct policy. As a result, league insiders like Adam Schefter reported that discipline or a suspension could be handed down before the start of the regular season.
Specifically, general manager Brian Gutekunst noted that the team has been preparing for the possibility of missing their star rusher.
“We’ve obviously been preparing for that in case that happens,” Gutekunst said when asked about Jacobs, who in May was arrested on domestic abuse charges. “But at the same time, I feel really good about the guys we have in that room.”
How Many Games Could Jacobs’ Be Suspended For?
Ultimately, the exact number of games Josh Jacobs will be suspended for has not been officially decided by the NFL. However, league rules and standard policy baselines provide a clear picture of what the Green Bay Packers running back could face.
