Saquon Barkley Goes Down With A Scary Looking Injury [VIDEO]

The Eagles hosted the Rams at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday for a Week 4 matchup with plenty on the line.
Philadelphia came out wanting to establish its ground game early. That plan had already survived one notable absence this year. Injuries kept piling up on both sides well before kickoff even arrived.
DeVonta Smith’s hamstring injury forced the Eagles to manage a significant absence of their own back in August.
Sunday brought a new concern from an unexpected spot in the lineup. Philadelphia had just built a 3-0 lead early in the first quarter. The offense was clicking against a Rams defense missing Aaron Donald for the day.
Saquon Barkley went down on a six-yard run roughly three minutes into the game. He appeared to injure his right hamstring on the non-contact play.
He walked slowly to the sideline afterward, clearly favoring the leg. He visited the medical tent before heading to the locker room. The team subsequently listed him as questionable to return.
No word has followed yet on how severe the injury might turn out to be, but it appears to be a hamstring issue.
Barkley Had Already Dealt With A Scare This Preseason

Barkley tweaked something during an August practice session that briefly worried the Eagles. He stayed on the field that time, and the injury never developed into anything serious.
Sunday’s injury looked far more serious by comparison, given how he left the field this time around. Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley stepped into the backfield once Barkley left.
They took over the carries the offense had built its entire early game plan around, with almost no warning.
Philadelphia now has to adjust on the fly. Its top back is sidelined, and its passing attack is already thinner since trading A.J. Brown away earlier this year.
