Cordarrelle Patterson has found himself in serious legal trouble, getting booked into jail on Saturday.
The four-time Pro Bowler built a reputation as one of football’s most dangerous kick returners. He also earned multiple All-Pro selections and won a Super Bowl during his NFL career.
But he’s made the news for all the wrong reasons this weekend.
According to TMZ, police booked Patterson into a Tennessee jail early Saturday on a domestic assault charge. Authorities had not provided further details to the outlet at the time of its report.
“We’ve reached out to the cops for more info … so far, no word back,” the outlet notes.

It does not appear that he was too worried…
The Minnesota Vikings drafted Patterson out of Tennessee in 2013, taking him at No. 29 overall.
He went on to play for the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers. A versatile offensive weapon, he contributed as a receiver, running back and return specialist.
Patterson joined the Patriots in 2018 and was part of their Super Bowl-winning team. He last played for the Steelers in 2024, signing a two-year deal but getting cut after one season.
This is a developing story.
