Indianapolis Colts Trade All-Pro Offensive Superstar In Blockbuster Deal As Fire Sale Begins Ahead Of Deadline

It appears that the Indianapolis Colts are going into sell mode. The team has not been good in 2026, and it doesn’t appear things will be changing.
One week after the team fired general manager Chris Ballard following a 2-4 start to the season, they have now traded a star player on offense.
Colts Trade Quenton Nelson to Seahawks for Draft Picks

The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to trade eight-time Pro Bowl left guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks. In return, they received a 2027 third-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-round draft pick.
The Colts have been eyed as a seller ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline following their 2-5 start to the season. Nelson was one of the key players rumored to be on the block.
Like all trades involving players, the deal is contingent on Nelson passing a physical. The veteran lineman is still playing at an All-Pro level. However, it became clear amid Indianapolis’ 2-5 start that if Nelson wants to play meaningful football, he’d have to do it elsewhere. Now he is joining the Seahawks, who are coming off a Super Bowl victory.
It should be noted that Quenton Nelson is on an expiring deal. So instead of potentially letting him walk in free agency and waiting on a compensatory pick in 2028, the Colts now have more control of their future. It is now on the Seahawks to sign him following this trade.
