The Washington Commanders signed veteran running back Rachaad White to a one-year contract this offseason. The union is already off on the wrong foot.

He brought his talents to the Commanders after he spent his first four NFL seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the union, he reunites with quarterback Jayden Daniels, his close friend and former college teammate at Arizona State.

Unfortunately, it appears that White and Daniels won’t be having a connection anytime soon.

The last thing the Commanders need is more controversy, as they are still dealing with Jayden Daniels and his issues with LSU. A recent social media post has raised questions about a Washington Commanders running back and his sudden absence from team activities.

Rachaad White has missed consecutive training camp practices due to an undisclosed injury. Head coach Dan Quinn is expected to provide an official update on his status. However, social media has seemingly solved the puzzle.

Bizarre Viral Video Involving White

Rachaad White has unexplainably missed consecutive team sessions. Previously, the athlete appeared perfectly healthy during a charitable team event on August 17. However, he subsequently sat out of major team activities on both August 18 and August 19.

Alongside the growing practice concern, observers are pointing directly toward a video posted by the Washington Commanders. The media clip showcased the running back accepting the traditional ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to honor a former player.

Thus, internet sleuths are wondering if Rachaad White accidentally tweaked something while reacting to the freezing water dump.

You can see Rachaad White jump into the air and slip on the water on the concrete. He even lost one of his slides as he ran out of camera view. Losing him for any amount of time would be detrimental. Losing him because of this challenge makes it so much worse.

During the 2025 NFL regular season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Rachaad White recorded 132 carries for 572 yards and 4 touchdowns. He remained highly efficient in the passing game, catching 40 of his 42 targets for 218 receiving yards.
