It is never a dull moment when the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers are going head-to-head. Another chapter in their rivalry was cemented early in Sunday’s contest.

The latest moment came between 49ers wideout Mike Evans and Seahawks CB Trevon Diggs.

49ers wide receiver Mike Evans went viral today after checking Trevon Diggs’ nameplate during a heated exchange

The ultimate disrespect occurred during a standard trash-talk sequence between the veteran receiver and the Seahawks cornerback. Both players were jawing at each other heavily on the field after a competitive play.

However, Evans escalated the psychological warfare by grabbing Diggs’ jersey, turning him around, and looking at his nameplate to mock the young defender’s status.

Not liking what was happening to him, Diggs pushed Evans away as both players walked to their respective sidelines.

As of this writing, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans has recorded three receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown. He has been targeted six times by quarterback Brock Purdy during the intense divisional game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Evans made his biggest impact early in the first quarter at Lumen Field. Purdy connected with the veteran wideout on a crisp two-yard passing play to secure the game’s opening touchdown.

The team is going to need a little bit more if they want to take down Seattle.
