The New York Giants had a tumultuous 2025 NFL season, which included Brian Daboll’s firing and Mike Kafka’s tenure as interim head coach. As soon as John Harbaugh became available, the NFC East got to work to secure the coach to start a new era.

Jaxson Dart will play his second season in the league. He will have Malik Nabers coming back from a season-ending injury, and new weapons such as wide receivers Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin III and tight end Isaiah Likely.

The wide receiver room is stacked, but the running game won’t be far away. Cam Skattebo will return from a season-ending injury, too, while Tyrone Tracy Jr. remains on the roster. Even with two talented young running backs, the Big Blue could add another asset to the room.

On Wednesday, Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News predicted the landing spots for the remaining free agents. He predicted the Giants would land former Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris.

“Harris was showing some promise in the Greg Roman offense before he went down in his lone season with the Chargers. Roman now works for the Giants, where they need some power contingency for Cam Skattebo,” Iyer wrote.

Harris’ 2025 season was cut short. He only played three games for John Harbaugh’s brother, Jim, carrying the ball 15 times for 61 yards.
