On Sunday morning, August 23, 2026, a human trafficking task force set up an undercover sting operation at the mobile home park. York responded to a fake advertisement posted on a known prostitution website. He arranged to pay a woman $140 for sex.

He was arrested by law enforcement as soon as he arrived at the meeting location.

Trailer Park Owner: Jed York Just Happened to Pull Over There

A public statement was released by the owner of the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community. he wanted to clear up some things. The property manager insisted that the wealthy NFL team owner simply pulled over on the side of the lot.

Because of this sudden visual confirmation, the witness noted that the trailer park was absolutely not his destination.

“I just got off the phone with the Chief of Police for East Palestine, Chief Weingart,” the message explains. “According to the chief, Jed York was arrested in the park because that’s where he happened to pull over.

“They were not using addresses in the park as part of their sting operation.

“This news of this arrest in our quiet community is just as shocking to us as to the rest of you. While we support law enforcement in their efforts[, w]e really have no other knowledge of the situation.”

York Pleads No Contest

San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York did not technically plead guilty, but rather pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges.

On Monday morning, York reached a swift plea agreement during his arraignment. The prosecution reduced his original, more severe charge as part of a routine arrangement for first-time offenders.

York was sentenced to two days in jail (one day for each offense, served concurrently). He was given full credit for time already served over the weekend, meaning he faced no additional jail time.

He was also ordered to pay a total of $1,150 and forced to forfeit $160 in seized cash to the Human Trafficking Task Force.
